After spending some time in the dueling yet decisive extremes of Scorpio, Juno re-enters the sign of Libra on Tuesday, 7th June at 4:01p PDT. Juno is the planet of commitments of ALL kinds, so when it return to Libra – a cardinal air sign, known for being the sign of partnership – we must remember that partnership lends itself to principles of equality, and equality leads us into matters of fairness and justice.

Libra is also an air sign. Air is intellectual, logical, and objective. This isn’t an emotional commitment Juno is making here – it’s a commitment to what makes sense. It’s a commitment to what is fair and just in very objective and unbiased terms.

That said, as Juno returns to Libra in retrograde motion, there is a return to a commitment to what is fair, just, and equal. There is a return to objective assessment of the circumstances at hand. However, the retrograde energy provides feedback and some second chances to do things again. Now would be a good time to pay attention to other people’s perspectives and opinions as you may learn how any differences you may have with them can be resolved.

The key here is to listen and learn, not to judge. If you can maintain emotional detachment and objectivity, you have a strong advantage in dealing with the relational matters which may arise at this time. Without objectivity, you may not be able to move beyond your emotions to find workable solutions. Emotions may cause you to throw all logic, reason, and thinking out the window in order to make your emotional frustration and pain known.

The problem Juno Retrograde will have in keeping things objective and emotionally detached is…Juno Retrograde’s move back into Libra is also happening on a day when a Lunar Water Grand Trine is most exact mere minutes after Juno re-enters Libra (at approximately 4:05p). There is a LOT of emotional volatility today, and though it is not in direct aspect (close, but still outside of my preferred 3° orb in that moment), the Moon does move within 3° orb only three hours later to rope  Juno into the Grand Trine’s powerful and likely explosive emotional energy. Being square to the Cancer Moon, semi-sextile to Scorpio Mars Retrograde, and quincunx to Pisces Chiron, Juno Retrograde in Libra has the potential to provide a means of restoring peace to a volatile situation…but only if logic and reason can find a way to triumph over emotional extremes and excess.

This is happening on a numerological 4 universal day. Four energy is about stability, security, and safety. It is also knowing that if something is going to be stable, reliable, dependable, and secure, it must have integrity.

When your foundation is high-quality material – truthfulness, fairness, objectivity, and respect – the foundation is genuinely solid. Not much, if anything, will compromise it. Emotion will not be able to triumph over a sound logical argument, especially in determining a fair and just outcome.

When your foundation is low-quality material – dishonesty, inequality, subjectivity, and disrespect – the foundation is unstable and may collapse under pressure. Emotions will overrun and override any reason in areas where Libran principles are compromised, likely resulting in an unfair or imbalanced situation.

The integrity and justice debate is paramount on this day as there will need to be some way of objectively distinguishing facts from opinions, distinguishing needs from wants, and of course, diplomatically drafting compromises between two parties which may bring some peace to an otherwise emotionally volatile situation. You may find yourself either part of or acting the part of the judge and jury to bring chaos into calm.

Juno Retrograde in Libra trine Gemini Venus at 2:31a PDT on 17th June – Partners can find a way to work together if they can work out a fair, just, and equal agreement. Compromise is key…and both sides need to be willing to give a little.

Juno Retrograde in Libra trine Gemini Sun at 12:59a PDT on 20th June – Logic and reason rule the day, and the person willing to both ask questions and listen to (and learn from) the answers is the one who will have the intellectual advantage in figuring out a fair and just solution to any differences which may be in place.
