I was formally introduced to Numerology and Astrology through my own curiosity – I had a lot of questions, and I was looking for answers.  When I was in my first year of college in Belmont, CA, I found a “new age” bookstore down the street and around the corner from school.  My first visit to that store began an intellectual and spiritual journey almost 25 years ago that continues today.

I began studying Pythagorean Numerology through a class I took at that bookstore. Shortly after that, I began taking on Western Astrology, and through the books at the bookstore I learned how to draft charts from scratch, and learned more about the signs, planets, and houses from there. It was about 10 years later while living in Los Angeles that I was formally introduced to Tarot.

However, the big breakthrough came during what I like to call my “The Universe put me in time-out” period. I dealt with some major health challenges and experienced severe depression as result of those health challenges. I started revisiting my own astrology and numerology charts to figure out what was happening for me, and it was during this time when I began to see how astrology and numerology could enhance and clarify each other.

After I recovered from my health challenges, I began applying my newly-discovered tandem to friends, family, and anyone else who was willing to let me test it out on them…and it was just as reliable for them as it was for me. As a result of my experiments and development projects over the years, I’ve developed a system of intuitive ‘numeric astrology’ that is the cornerstone of my practice. The Life By Soul® System effectively and powerfully combines Western Astrology and Latin Numerology.  The system really hones in on an individual’s expression and purpose in life, therefore giving me the ability to create highly accurate and individualized charts for people – unique and very customized insights that simply cannot be gotten from computer-generated chart interpretations or from traditional astrology or numerology alone.

Through my studies and experiences, I also began to recognize and accept my intuitive abilities for what they are, and I have continued to develop them over time.  Once I began to reading more books and attending workshops and seminars about metaphysics and spiritual philosophy, I realized that a lot of what I am able capable of is not only my unique set of inherent and developed abilities, but they’re also abilities I can contribute to others to assist them in making sense of themselves and their life journeys.

Formally developing and sharing The Life By Soul® System has been my passion these last few years.  The process of writing the books that will explain and teach this system to others has been fun and challenging in ways I never imagined.  Through the research and feedback phase of the book and now through writing and my continued work with my clients,  I’m excited to share more of it with each of you over the next few months as more books release and online courses are developed.

The Purpose:

The purpose of Life By Soul© is to assist you in expanding your awareness of all that you are capable of, stepping more fully into the conscious choosing and creation of your life, and experiencing more consistent alignment with your most direct path to the fulfillment and happiness of living into your highest potential.

I consider your astrology-numerology chart to be your soul’s unique blueprint.  This blueprint reveals much of the undeniable and incorruptible truth of who you are as a person.  And from the foundation this truth provides, your experiences and influences, your interpretations of them, and the choices you make as result of those interpretations shape the course of your life.  Your choices often determine if you take the direct path or the ‘scenic route’ to the fulfillment of your life purpose.

Many of your life choices are strongly influenced by your past and present experiences – family upbringing, schooling, relationships from infancy into adulthood, and other everyday life experiences (both unusual and significant as well as the mundane and routine).  You may not be living fully (or you may not feel like you are living fully) into your design and purpose because of choices you made at various points in your life as results of experiences in your life during those impressionable times.  Those moments of impression need not be major or significant – just the moments you made choices to think or believe things or to do things that altered the course of your life in that area or aspect of your life.

Yet once you have access to the knowledge of your True self that comes through your astrological and numerological charts and/or a tarot session, you can begin living your life by the design revealed by your blueprint.  The way you see your life now could be altered significantly after a Life By Soul session, which may change your perception of yourself and your life, and possibly even change the course of your life’s journey moving forward.

The Challenge:

Though the charts and cards will reveal much about who you truly are and what is really happening in the present moment, some challenging work may still be required on your part in order to move yourself forward on your life path.  An astrology-numerology chart or a tarot session is seldom a ‘quick fix’ or a ‘magic pill’ or a simple answer to the equation of your life.  It can be a very useful tool in making the answer-finding process easier and smoother, but only if you are willing to do the work and make the choices to have its power be revealed in your life.

In working with me, it is likely that I will take you through your depths of your darkness into the radiance of your Light.  It’s not an exploration for the faint of heart.  You’ve got to be willing and ready to face and deal with your “stuff”.  After all, receiving and having the knowledge is one thing – taking action with or upon that knowledge is up to you. Embracing yourself and embracing your journey requires you to face your life choices and take responsibility for making them.  It also challenges you to take responsibility for taking on new perspectives, making new choices, and taking new or different actions that align you with the life you are called to live and intend to create for yourself.

The Intention:

A Life By Soul® session can awaken you to how astrology, numerology, and tarot can be practically and purposefully applied  to your “real world” life in ways that can enhance your experience of your everyday for the better.

Here are answers to questions I am often asked which may shed some additional light on what Life By Soul™ – Intuitive Astrology.Numerology,Tarot is all about.

 What’s with the butterflies?:

“We delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty.” ~ Maya Angelou

In nature, butterflies are the best example (in my opinion) of the process of transformation.

They start out as caterpillars, and often not-so-pretty ones at that.

Then they wrap themselves in a tight silk cocoon – an incubator (or a prison) of their own making.

After a while, they emerge as a creature of flight with beautiful, delicate “stained glass” wings. They also emerge with a new purpose – to assist the cycle of life in plants and flowers through enabling the pollination of flowers and trees (along with bees and a few other insects of flight…and the occasional human).

I believe that as humans, through self-awareness, we each have a similar capacity to transform our lives.

What’s with the lines on the butterflies?:

The dimension lines are homage to two things:

– my interior design training, which I was studying at the same time I began studying astrology and numerology

– one of my favorite art pieces, Leonardo DaVinci’s “Vitruvian Man”, a piece created by DaVinci, inspired by the Roman architect Vitruvius.

I was inspired by these because I believe each one of us is created with a unique design, special and individual to each of us, even in cases of twins or multiples.  This design is not unique to appearance, but to our soul – to who we are on the inside. We are distinctively created to serve our purpose on the inside.  I wanted the science and structure behind our spiritual and physical design to be illustrated in some way, so the dimension lines were included in the design.

My dear friend, Allen Gaoiran, is the amazing graphic designer who took my idea and helped me make it a reality. He’s known me for quite a long time, so he knows me well and easily understood the aesthetic I was looking for. He created the perfect images to express who I am and to express the intention I have for Life By Soul™.

Why do you have six different logos?

I liked that each one has its own personality or flavor to it – bright, bold, traditional, minimalist, chameleon-like.  I really couldn’t choose just one.

I also liked the idea of being able to change them and the colors on the website, newsletters, and social media icons every few months.

And to get really deep about it, it reflects the principle that “change is the only constant in life”.

What’s with the name Life By Soul®?:

Life By Soul™ is also a homage to my interior design training and background.

It could be written as Life x Soul, much like 2″ x 4″ when describing a common piece of architectural lumber, or the dimensions when measuring out a room (length x width or width x height).

I also chose Life By Soul® because it reflects a math or science equation of sorts, only rather than the dimensions of a room, the components I work with are the unique design and dimensions of you as an individual, assisting you in the creation and living of your life by your soul’s design and purpose.
