The Sagittarius 3 Sun made exact conjunction with Saturn at 3:51a PST on Saturday, 10th December 2016 (18.85°).
The reason I want to briefly address this is because it’s a significant transit considering all that is happening in the world right now.
For starters, it’s important to note that this Sun + Saturn conjunction is holding each of us accountable and responsible for our desires to gather more knowledge and experience so we can grow and expand our individual life experiences. The 3 Universal month energy encourages learning, growth, and expansion, enhancing the inherent growth and expansion qualities of Sagittarius. And with Sagittarius being the sign of truth revealed and wisdom gained through first-hand experiences, this is a strong indicator of each of us being held accountable and responsible for how aligned with our inner truths and Universal Truths we actually are as we pursue new educational and experiential opportunities with the intention of enhancing our lives and achieving our goals.
That said, Saturn is living up to its reputation as a disciplinarian and authority figure. Empowered by its conjunction with the Sag 3 Sun, it’s delaying if not denying growth and expansion to anyone not being honest with themselves about the way they are trying to move forward in on their life paths.
In other words, if you are experiencing delays, obstacles, shortages, or other challenges in moving forward toward your goals; you are not aligned with Truth in some way. You are not being honest with yourself or others in some way.
That’s right. I said it. You’re not be being honest with yourself…or others…or both.
Saturn in Sagittarius provides focus and discipline for our personal growth and expansion. It’s saying “don’t just get upset because I’m holding you back. Look at WHY I’m holding you back from your desired growth and expansion!” It’s holding you accountable for your actions up to this point, and responsible for the progress you say you want to make.
And in most cases, it’s trying to keep you from making what could be a big mistake even bigger. It’s trying to get you to see and understand why moving forward at this time and/or in this way may not be best for you.
This is a good thing!
Sometimes, we get so caught up in making progress we forget to stop and see where we actually are. This Sun + Saturn conjunction affords us a moment of truth – a moment in which we may reconnect with our inner truths. This is a chance for us to reassess our paths and make sure that we are really moving forward toward something that allows us to be the most authentic expressions of ourselves in the world.
Without our authenticity, we may find that what we thought we wanted proves to be the worst thing for us. We may have to pretend to be someone we aren’t or pretend to be happy and fulfilled…all because we didn’t realize the cost of our objectives and ambitions. We didn’t realize the trade-off for reaching our goals.
So if you’re feeling held back or held down right now, take a moment to ask “why?” Take a moment to check in with yourself & to find out how you may not being honest with yourself and/or others.
It’s for the best in the long run. I promise.
The effects of this transit have been in place since 6th December, and will be in place through 13th December.
