This is the third of four blog posts to cover recent astrological and numerological events and get us all caught up.  Let’s take a look at our latest t-square configuration.

We are currently experiencing a NODAL CARDINAL T-SQUARE involving North Node in Libra and Uranus conjunct South Node in Aries with Pluto in Capricorn squaring both at the point.  This T-Square is felt 23rd December through 4th February 2015, but is most strongly felt when at its most exact on Wednesday 14th January 2015.

This T-Square configuration indicates that many disciplinary, governmental, and/or corporate institutions may find themselves confronted with choosing which side of history they are going to be on – the resistant status quo or part of the evolution.  Because Pluto in Capricorn is the epitome of “change or die”, any institution that tries to maintain their existence without adapting to the modern/present day environment will likely be defeated, destroyed, or otherwise eliminated in the name of transformation and progress.  Because all of the involved parties are also involved in one or both of the other configurations of the day, this Cardinal T-Square provides the necessary tension that initiates the changes of the day.

Having Pluto as the powerful pivot point of the T-Square may also give some insight as to how what triggers the necessary changes.  Will changes be made in response to a call for peaceful negotiations, fairness, and equality; or in response to a call for reformative or revolutionary action?

This is an interesting dilemma, especially with Mercury and Venus in Aquarius, Uranus’ sign of rulership.  Uranus conjunct the South Node indicates that there needs to be a change of focus – that the old way of doing things may be disrupted by unconventional approaches, unpredictable events, or simple popular opinion.  Something extraordinary may occur that shifts the mental or practical focus of enough people to make a difference, and having both Mercury and Venus in Aquarius increases the likelihood that certain individuals or groups/communities will have something to say about the circumstances.

However, the North Node in Libra is influenced by the fact that Libra is Venus’ sign of rulership.  Having Venus conjunct Mercury in Aquarius again reveals that there is likely to be a very vocal desire for fairness, equality, and balance to be established or restored through peaceful or peacefully-intended interactions.  Venus and Libra in their own right are also inclined to deal with matters on one-on-one terms and/or in the context of partnership.

In your own personal journey, you may notice that you need to make major changes in your own goals or ambitions.  Maybe they need to be updated or revised to match your current circumstances.  Maybe they need to be scrapped and replaced with new ones.  Whatever the case may be for you, Pluto in Capricorn may bring to your attention that some new objectives may be in order for you in some or all areas of your life.

The South Node conjunct Uranus in Aries may bring to your attention that the whole of humanity is undergoing a shift in awareness and activity – there seems to be much more assertiveness if not aggression and anger in the world, and you get to decide if and how you want to participate in that, confront that, or avoid that for yourself; and how your choice may affect your ability to pursue and fulfill your goals.

The North Node in Libra may have you looking at your one-on-one relationships of all kinds to see which ones really support and encourage your goals and ambitions and which ones don’t really support your advancement.  On the larger scale, you may notice a collective shift to more peaceful means of working out challenges that may influence you to be more open to negotiating matters and less inclined to take assertive or aggressive actions.

Whether it’s on a personal/individual or collective/humanitarian scale, this first Cardinal T-Square of 2015 is certain to provide each and all of us with some new perspectives, new ideas, new goals, and new intentions for not only the new year but possibly for the rest of our lives.
