I wasn’t expecting Life By Soul™ to be where it is today.

As anyone who starts their own practice/business, I had high hopes for where Life By Soul™ would be at its 10th Solar Return. And I’m still being told it will get to some version of where I envisioned it going. Eventually.

But there have been some unexpected stops and detours along the way.

Where I am now, where Life By Soul™ is now, is one of those detours.

The first was a family matter which gained some clarity in early 2019. Everything is fine for now, but moving forward, there’s some preparation that needs to be made and some assistance that needs to be given over the next few years. Things will become more difficult and some challenging decisions will have to be made down the road. The timing is uncertain, but now I’m here to help deal.

Here is moving back to my hometown. It wasn’t an easy move, but it was the right choice. It wasn’t only for the family stuff – I made the best decisions I could make at the time, but they resulted in me needing to relocate back to the East Bay to regroup my own life as well as to prepare for what’s to come with my family.

The third was the result of the first and second. Because life got really real really quickly, I made the decision to re-enter the traditional workforce to get some much-needed structure back into my life and to stabilize my life before things get unstable around me. I resisted the heck out of this decision, to the point of tears in late October 2019. Yet I never would have expected things to work out the way they have, nor to be with a company I could see myself being with for a long time if they’ll have me.

And though many of us knew things would be unstable, none of us expected just how instability would manifest in the world in 2020.

That said, being back in the SF East Bay and being back in a day job put a lot of plans for Life By Soul™ on hold. And admittedly, some of the vision I had for Life By Soul™ has been lost, too.

Here’s what’s up, though.

  • The book is being revised and updated, and will be re-released on my own publishing label. It will be longer, more thorough, and there may be one or two more books after, but not the six-volume collection I originally envisioned.
  • I’m still doing the daily social media postings. I have an organic follower count, meaning people follow Life By Soul™ because they’ve been clients or they discover and follow Life By Soul™ through hashtags and referrals. I don’t have a large following by any means, and I won’t buy followers or create a ton of content fodder right now to get that count up. I tried for a while, but it didn’t grow much, and frankly, I’m not obsessed right now with Life By Soul™ getting attention right now. That said, I’m deeply grateful to each and all of you who do follow Life By Soul™ on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn.
  • Of course, now that I’m back in the traditional workforce, my availability for sessions is greatly limited. I am so grateful to those of you who continue to choose me to contribute to your lives, and I’m honored to be part of your journeys. Thanks for working with me on the limited timing and for continuing the connections, as well as making referrals to new self-seekers.
  • And the online courses are being redesigned (again) and the platform is being reconsidered. I’m getting better at and more comfortable with creating videos and audios, and I’m redesigning the look of the content. They are still in progress, but I don’t have a date for beta testing or release. (NOTE: That whole first push to launch these courses is one of my biggest failures as far as content creation and delivery, and I apologize to those of you who are still waiting for me to get those in gear. They are coming, but I don’t have a specific timeline right now.)

For those wondering, it didn’t feel right to exploit all that’s happening right now. At first, with COVID, there was a thought of pushing to get online content up and running, but for Life By Soul™, but it seemed everyone was pushing to get content up, and it didn’t seem the right time. I wasn’t sure why, but it wasn’t the right time.

Then George Floyd’s murder happened, and it became clear why I needed to wait.

In the midst of all that is happening right now, and for the last nine months, there’s been a lot to wrap my head around regarding what is happening in my own life and my own self-identity; and a lot to absorb, observe, and consider in assessing my personal and professional values, and what I want to stand for in and around the world. As result, there’s been a lot of time to reconsider the purpose and mission of Life By Soul™.

The mission is still to empower people to “live their lives by (their) soul’s unique design.” Yet to what purpose, and by which means?

I haven’t had that epiphany yet. That new purpose, the new means – they haven’t revealed themselves to me as of now. But I’m clear that everything that’s happening right now will help me gain clarity around what Life By Soul™ needs to become moving forward.

In the meantime, Life By Soul™ is transforming. For the time being, the butterflies are back in their chrysalis, evolving yet again.

Thank you for being with me over the last ten years. Whether you’ve been with me from the beginning, or you came in along the way, I am grateful for every single one of you who have allowed me into your lives with open minds and open hearts. It’s a pleasure to serve you.

All of you, be well, be safe, and be amazing.

On to whatever may come next…

~ Light, Love, and Blessings,
Grace
