AUTHOR’S NOTE:
I’ve over-committed myself in the last few weeks. I’m going through a few internal changes and I made a couple of external commitments (now completed) which have made it difficult for me to keep up with writing lately.

I occasionally mention that when you read blogs, tweets, posts, whatever… there are human people creating and/or channeling that content to get it out to you for your reading and information-gathering enjoyment. We’re also on this energetic rollercoaster, just like you. And sometimes, the ride gets the better of us, too. That’s been the case when it comes to me writing the blog posts and the e-zines in these last few months.

I’m in the midst of some much-needed self-care, a long overdue “come to Jesus” moment regarding certain aspects of my life and business, and some major creative project development as I transition Life By Soul™ to a near-completely online format. I’m doing my best to get the daily transit posts out and on time, and the lunar cycle blog posts and monthly e-zines… well, they may continue to take a bit longer.

Thank you for your understanding and patience with me as I, too, am trying to get through this thing called life. Without further delay, here is the 2019 Taurus New Moon blog post.

*********************

The 2019 Taurus New Moon reached its maximum phase at 3:45p PST on Saturday 4th May locally, but in at least half of the world, this occurred on Sunday 5th May (14.18°). Bringing its fixed earth energy into matters-at-hand, Taurus tends to shift our focus to either or both physical, material, and/or financial needs OR personal values, morals, and ethics. Often, these themes are intertwined in the sense that when we don’t have what we actually need, believe we need, or think we should have or be entitled to on the physical, material, or financial level(s), many of us tend to compromise our personal values, morals, or ethics in order to obtain what we need or want.

This 2019 Taurus New Moon phase brought a heightened awareness of the “boxes” we tend to place ourselves in. Whether our physical attributes and how they shape our world view; our lifestyles and/or the physical, material, and financial conditions which tend to determine them; our values, moral, ethics, and how we apply those principles to the acquisition, sustenance, or expansion of our lifestyle resources; these are all boxes of self-definition intended to preserve our sense of self created under the Aries Sun.

Usually, many of us do everything we can to keep these self-identity boxes intact – to maintain a stable and solid routine in the day-to-day of our lives, to sustain our material and/or financial resource levels, or to surround ourselves with people who affirm our world views and share our beliefs and values. We strive attain and sustain whatever we need to keep ourselves safe, stable, and secure… or to at least maintain the appearance of it for the preservation of our self-identities if not also our actual lifestyle realities.

Yet this 2019 Taurus Sun period will also have us awakening to the fact that some of these boxes are not just preserving us – they may be keeping us stagnant. In fact, some of us have not only strived to maintain the walls of our boxes, but also built them up to protect ourselves from change or difference, keeping ourselves trapped in lives which no longer serve our individual life journeys in positive ways. This 2019 Taurus New Moon is here to highlight opportunities to break free of our boxes in order to change our lives for the better.

Numerologically speaking, this 2019 Taurus New Moon occurred on a 3 universal day in about half of the world, and on a 22 universal day in the other half of the world, which makes for some interesting insights. For the part of the world experiencing 3 numeric energy, this New Moon is a time for new beginnings which act as catalysts for growth and expansion – this is a time for learning and growing through experience and observation, but it could also reveal a belief about yourself that you haven’t learned enough and don’t know enough to pursue your dreams and goals. For those experiencing the 22 numeric energy, new beginnings are cornerstones for community building – more network building if you’re ready to meet new people who align with the changes you want to experience, but it also could be wall-building if you’re still determined to keep out anything and anyone who threatens your comfort zone.

This all occurs under a 8 universal month of power and influence, and there is definitely a presence of those dynamics in the mix. Who can wield their power to maintain the box of status quo, and who is wielding their power to break that box so we can fully step into the growth and expansion energy of the 3 universal year?

The Taurus Sun brings light to all that has been hidden in darkness in regard to our physical needs and our material and financial resources. If we’ve been avoiding it, the Taurus Sun is making sure we deal with it now. The Taurus Moon brings our emotions into the fold. How do we feel about our physical bodies? How do we take care of them? And how do we feel about the resources we have and use to take care of our bodies? How do we choose to be active in support of our body’s best performance? Together in conjunction transit, these two energies combine to make us face how we feel about our physical bodies, our lifestyle realities, and the ways we practice (or don’t practice) our values, morals, and ethics.

But more importantly, this Taurus Sun + Moon conjunction helped us become more aware of what our boxes are really about.

What the boxes are about will differ for each of us. For some, it will be a hard reality that we are making choices which do not support our physical wellbeing, whether it’s the food we choose to eat or the activities we do or don’t participate in. For others, it may be how we are willing to lie, cheat, and/or steal in order to acquire money or status. For others still, it may be judging ourselves and others on the basis and state of our material possessions or the balance in our bank accounts.

Whatever the box(es) may be, the 2019 Taurus New Moon has delivered the message that it is time to break out of these boxes and set ourselves free to be who we truly are in this world.

Let’s look at the specific transits of this 2019 Taurus New Moon phase.

  • The Taurus Sun + Moon conjunction quincunx Libra Pallas Athena AND Sagittarius Ceres Retrograde to form a YOD configuration (14.18°). This reveals that in order to break our patterns of relationship to our resource and lifestyle ideals, we must be able to recognize how we want to grow. Ceres – the ruling planet(oid) of Taurus –in Sagittarius, which means it is revealing a desire to grow and expand through experience. Yet Ceres is also in retrograde motion, which means it is giving us feedback. Pay attention to what is giving you the experience of being free to grow and what is giving you the experience of being held back and held down. With Pallas Athena in Libra, there is a desire to create a strategy to bring balance to your lifestyle. When you recognize which areas of your life have balance and which ones don’t, it becomes easier to distinguish which parts of this journey need to undergo change.
  • Taurus Sun+Moon conjunction semi-sextile Aries Vesta(14°) reveals the determination to express our self-identities may be the spark necessary to capitalize on the “new beginnings” energy of the New Moon. Aries Vesta also trines Sagittarius Ceres Retrograde (12-14°), bringing a determination to get to the truth of which values and principles we are allowing to drive us individually and collectively. In this case, the collective is rather easy to figure out. But on the level of individuality, it’s harder to get to because we tend to have a tougher time seeing our own compromises… or at least we have a tougher time holding ourselves accountable for them.

There are other transits which occurred at the time of the New Moon’s maximum phase which do not involve the 2019 Taurus New Moon conjunction directly.

  • Gemini Mars quincunx Capricorn South Node + Saturn + Pluto “daisy-chain” stellium (19-23°) – This may be the most powerful transit of the phase. Those trying to hold onto the past for dear life are doing everything they can to maintain but strengthen the status quo. Even though they may be in the positions of power to uphold the old ways, they won’t be able to maintain their grip for much longer. These last throes of power are going to bring a whole lot of damage to everything as their actions will be duplicitous in order to hide the reality of what is happening from others… and to a large degree, from themselves. The delusional belief they can uphold the status quo likely comes through a Pisces Neptune sextile to the Capricorn stellium (18-23°). Yet their bubble of delusion is quickly burst by the fact that others are no longer afraid of their threats or power. Aries Venus squares the Capricorn stellium (17-23°), making it undeniably clear that others see what is happening, and they are capable of thinking, speaking, and standing up for themselves individually. When the members of the majority see the same truths and come to the same conclusions independent of each other, that empowers them to come together to oppose the powers-that-be which are part of an ever-dwindling minority. Yet it’s the opposition of Gemini Mars and Sagittarius Jupiter Retrograde (22-23°) through which those duplicitous actions and mind games are exposed by those who are on the ground, experiencing the actual and factual reality of the physical, material, financial, or informational conditions. As the feedback comes to those trying to twist truth that their tactics are not working, who knows what will emerge as a strategy then.
  • Aries Chiron semi-sextile Taurus Uranus (3-4°) stands alone as a transit, yet powerfully reveals that anyone who is feeling insecure in their self-identity may find themselves having to face the fact they may not be living a lifestyle which affirms their True individual and unique self. This reveals the need for unexpected changes to occur which may shake you out of your comfort zone by giving you a reality check you may never would have imagined could happen. This is a “put up or shut up” moment for you, and what you choose to do will determine what happens from here on out.

All of the energies and transits during this 2019 Taurus New Moon are setting the stage for the 2019 Scorpio Full Moon on Saturday, 18th May when it starts to become clear how the foundations laid and beginnings initiated at this time will play out and we begin to see out way of breaking out of our boxes once and for all.
