More and more people are being called into their unique and individual self-expressions right now, and the upcoming 2015 Leo Sun period will be a pretty confrontational time for many as result. Some of you may be a bit scared as what you are being called to create, reveal, and express and you may not have a precedent in your life experience or in anyone else’s for that matter. By acting on your creative spark, you may be the originator of a new service, product, endeavor, or approach. What you bring to light may never have been brought forward by anyone else before you – you may be the first and only one to do it your way if at all…and this can be a lonely place to be.

Yet if you can move beyond being “the only one” and can embrace being “the first one”, you may discover that the light within you is more brilliant than you ever knew it (or yourself) to be. This could be a very exciting time for you and those around you.

Usually I reserve this type of detailed breakdown of coming events for The Life By Soul E-zine, which comes out monthly with the next edition being sent out in 2 days (register here for the mailing list – shameless plug). However, I’ve had so many people asking me about what is going on that I decided to put this bit of it out now as a blog article.

The coming month of the 2015 Leo Sun period (22 July-23 August) has more sign and direction changes than I’ve seen in a long time. There will be 7 sign changes and 2 retrogrades in the next 4.5 weeks! These changes are a major part of the rollercoaster we’ll all be on over the next few weeks.

If you though the last few months were crazy, wait until this month starts. I don’t say that to scare you – I say it to prepare you. Changes are coming, and if you want to make sure you have a seat to sit in as the ups and downs occur, be sure to listen closely to and keep up with the music.

Here’s a big part of the playlist for the next few weeks:

The Leo Sun Period begins at 8:30p PDT on 22nd July and with Mercury also moving into Leo just under 9 hours after the Sun enters the sign at 5:14a PDT on 23rd July. They make exact conjunction aspect at 12:24p PDT on Thursday 23rd July, starting us off with quite an explosion of self-expression as you may feel the need to speak up for yourself and your self-expression. You may need to speak up for yourself and your need to do things your way –you may need your creative energy to be honored more than usual right now.

Venus, which just entered Virgo on 18th July changes direction at 2:29a PDT on 25th July, beginning a retrograde period that lasts until 6th September 2015. Venus re-enters Leo at 8:27a PDT on 31st July, joining the Sun, Mercury, and Jupiter in the sign. While retrograde, Venus will have you reassessing your partnerships and relationships – it’ll be how they assist the practical function of your day-to-day life at first, but as Venus drifts back into Leo, you may find yourself facing questions about how well or how much your partners encourage your creative self-expression.

Only 3 days after Venus goes retrograde, Uranus in Aries also begins moving in retrograde motion at 3:38a PDT on 28th July, bringing each of us individually an opportunity to choose our individuality and/or independence from the masses. This may come through pressure to conform to what everyone else is doing…or it may inspire what ends up becoming collective rebellion against mass indoctrination efforts. The rebellion starts one person at a time, but may gain traction as you and others begin to reflect upon what is happening, what is changing, and how these changes affect you individually as well as the greater whole of your community or possibly humanity.

Along with Venus moving back into Leo later the same day, the Full Moon for the month is at maximum phase at 3:44a PDT on Friday, 31st July. With the Aquarius Moon opposite the Leo Sun, you may find that your community peers may give you a better reflection of who you are in your life than the mirror you’re looking in. They reflect the emotional impact your creative self-expression has on your community.  Your peers may help you figure out your place in the jigsaw puzzle of humanity. If you have anything in your chart between 4° and 10° in an air or fire sign, this could be a day on which you need to come to terms with the energy you radiate out into the world and the role your self-expression plays for others, depending on what is activated in your chart by this opposition.

Saturn in Scorpio turns back to direct motion at 10:53p PDT on 1st August, ending its retrograde and putting you back in the driver’s seat in matters of power and influence in your life. With a fresh awareness of where clearly-defined decisions need to earnestly move your life forward powerfully, you may find yourself ready to draw some lines in the sand to define and enforce your emotional boundaries and maintain your focus on the life you want to live.

Ceres has been moving retrograde in Aquarius since 3rd June, and it also changes sign during the 2015 Leo Sun period, moving back into Capricorn at 4:13p PDT on 3rd August. This shifts your personal value assessments back to the roles and effects of the declining, existing, and emerging societal institutions upon your life, and how well those institutions are serving you. You may notice that a different side of matters at hand as the effects of the changing infrastructure begin to affect you personally and directly.

Only two weeks after moving into Leo, Mercury speedily moves into Virgo at 12:15p PDT on 7th August and shifts your mindset and communications from how brilliantly you’re shining your uniquely creative Light to how you’re using that creativity to facilitate the functionality of your everyday life.

The next day, at 4:32p PDT on 8th August, Mars moves into Leo and fuels the creative flames with its initiative actions. If your intentions are positive, great! – you may find that your actions bring you the spotlight you need and deserve. However, if your intentions are born of anger or frustration, watch out! – you may be starting a fire you won’t be able to put out.

On 11th August, Jupiter moves into Virgo at 4:11a PDT, expanding a call to implement restorative healing and functionality to everyday living. There may be more practical solutions to persistent everyday challenges presented to you, yet you may need to put in more effort and energy than you thought you would in order to have the growth and expansion you want to have. In other words, you may have to work for your reward.

The Leo New Moon occurs on Friday, 14th August at 3:44a PDT, bringing the ultimate new beginnings energy to the fore if it hasn’t already made itself known in your life. If you have anything in your chart between 18° and 24° in a fire or air sign (especially in fire), be ready for your close-up depending on what it may activate the planets and points it touches upon in your chart.

What does this all mean?

If you’ve been feeling stagnant and frustrated waiting for something to happen in your life to move you forward, well…this is the month you’ll get your wish. You’ll finally get some insights into what is happening and how it is affecting you specifically.

The challenge is that your answers may not come as you expected or intended. Your results may be larger, and may put you into more of a spotlight or onto a larger stage than you thought you ever imagined you’d be on. On the other hand, your results may be smaller than you hoped and may demand a lot more effort or energy on your part to bring your efforts to the attention of others.

It also means that you may need to reassess your self-identity and self-expression within that identity. Who you’ve believed yourself to be may not be, in fact, who you really are. This is the part that may be confrontational as many of you may need to redefine yourself to align with who you truly are…and you may not like who you truly are.

This 2015 Leo Sun period is a call for creative self-transformation. This isn’t creativity in a “fake it ‘til you make it” kind of way. It’s more a “be real until it becomes your new normal” kind of thing.

Being your real and authentic self may not be normal for many of you. In a society that urges us to be anything but ourselves in order to fit in or belong, being yourself is often discouraged. Yet ask yourself the following question:

If it hurts this much to be who you need to be in order to fit in, do you really want to fit in?

News flash: If you’re miserable trying to belong, chances are it’s not where you belong.

After a game of musical chairs, there’s only one chair left. When it’s all said and done, if you win the game, you’re sitting alone in the middle with everyone watching you. If that’s going to be the outcome, make sure they are seeing someone special…and unique…and brilliant in their self-expression.

Be someone they didn’t know you could be.

More importantly, be someone you didn’t know you could be…and love every minute of it. Make embracing and being your authentic self your new normal.

Thanks for reading and sharing Signs and Numbers. Until next post…
